Amanda Righetti (born April 4, 1983) is an American actress and film producer.

Biography

Amanda Righetti was born in St. George, Utah and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, subsequently moving to Los Angeles to seek further acting opportunities. Amanda Righetti married film director Jordan Alan on April 29 2006.

Working as a film producer, Amanda oversaw production on numerous TV commericals and short films. After securing a role in the pilot No Place Like Home, Righetti caught the eye of Fox executives. She played a regular guest character Hailey Nichol in the American teen drama The O.C. In the season finale of Season 2 of The O.C., her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Cooper jokes about life on the North Shore, the show she formerly starred in after the series was canceled after one season, playing the role of Tessa Lewis.

In late 2005, Amanda starred in FOX's Reunion as Jenna Moretti.

Amanda appears on the cover of the November 2005 issue of FHM magazine. She was ranked #59 and #84 on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2005 and 2006, respectively.

In 2006, Amanda signed on to star as the main female lead in Return to House on Haunted Hill as Ariel Wolfe. The film is the sequel to the successful 1999 horror remake film House on Haunted Hill.

In April 2008, she was cast as the lead female role Whitney in the long awaited remake of Friday the 13th. Production ended in June 2008 and the film was released in theaters on Friday, February 13, 2009.

Since September 23, 2008, Amanda is a regular on the CBS series The Mentalist where she appears as Grace Van Pelt together with Simon Baker as Patrick Jane.

The Mentalist is CBS's #1 Hit Show for 2009. Righettirecently appeared on the covers of LAX, Maxim, and Vegas Magazine.

Friday the 13th became the biggest grossing opening weekend in horror film history when the film made $19 Million on the first day alone. It went on to gross a record breaking $45.5 Million for the 4 day weekend (including Monday's President Day).
