Ali Larter "played" the hoax
Ali began modeling at age 13 with
the world-renowned Ford modeling
agency and traveled the world. At
17, Ali settled temporarily in
Japan. In 1995, Ali Larter accompanied her
boyfriend in his move to Los Angeles.
Soon after on the advice of a
friend, Ali Larter began taking acting
classes.
In November 1996, Ali Larter "played" the
hoax Allegra Coleman in Esquire
Magazine. Even after the hoax had
been revealed, its effects lingered,
and Ali Larter was wooed by various
agencies. Larter landed her first
professional role in 1997 in the
television series Chicago Sons,
which was followed by a number of
other brief appearances on Dawson's
Creek, Chicago Hope and Just Shoot
Me.
Larter is a good friend of actress
Amy Smart with whom she co-starred
in Varsity Blues and Erick Alegria,
a former Sam's Kid. Ali
has
also lived in Miami and then New
York City after the spring of 2002,
where she studied at Michael Howard
Studios. In January 2007, she moved
to Los Angeles to take on the
commitment of working on Heroes.
Ali
is
engaged to her longtime boyfriend,
actor Hayes MacArthur.
